No responsibility will be taken if no survey pegs are provided to indicate the true boundary. The fence line must be cleared 500mm on either side of all obstructions, including vegetation. Any additional costs incurred for extra labor required to remove items will be charged to clients at the discretion of Ballarat Feature Fencing. We take all care but accept no responsibility for damage to underground cables, pipes, or any damage to the garden/grass. Please note, fencing installed on or within 1m of retaining walls or site cuts will be void of all fence warranty. Jackhammering of rock or concrete will incur a charge of $100 per hole, payable by the owners. Power and water must be supplied by the parties above, with access provided by the easiest means available. The paling side of the fencing will be installed at the discretion of the installer for optimal access. Timber is a natural product and will move even after a short period; therefore, it is agreed that there will be no claims for timber movement. Fence movement may occur if the ground around the footing becomes wet or soft, and this is not covered by warranty. Any excess dirt or concrete will not be removed by the contractor, and material waste will remain on site; however, Ballarat Feature Fencing can remove it for $100 per cubic meter if requested. It is understood that gaps under the plinth will be present; the contractor may fill this in upon request for $15 per linear meter (for a 150x25mm plinth). We are not responsible for any wing fence or gate attached to the old fence when removed; clients need to remove these items beforehand. Gates must remain closed to avoid damage, as wind can slam gates shut, potentially breaking footings and damaging gates. Gates and gate posts are not covered by warranty after the first two weeks. Warranty claims can be made for workmanship only for a period of 12 months. Please be aware of our cancellation policy: all overdue accounts will incur interest at a rate of 10% per month, plus all agency collection and legal recovery costs. No claims will be accepted unless we are given the first opportunity to rectify the situation. A cancellation fee will be charged based on the following schedule: more than 3 weeks’ notice incurs a fee of 25% of the total invoice, 0-3 weeks incurs a fee of 50%, and 100% if construction has already started. Cancellations must be made in writing and sent via email only. Issuing a purchase/work order or email approval signifies acceptance of our fence installation terms and conditions.
